Last Friday, an unidentified masseur, mentioned in court papers only as ‘John Doe,’ filed a suit against John Travolta alleging that the Hollywood star sexually assaulted him during a massage in a room at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The masseur claims that the incident took place in January, and that Travolta rubbed his leg, touched his genitals and tried to initiate at least one sex act inside a private bungalow on January 16.

The only twist to the story is that Travolta’s spokesman told the media, “On the date when plaintiff claims John met him, John was not in California and it can be proved that he was on the East Coast.” Travolta’s spokesman further clarified, “John intends to get this case thrown out and then he will sue the attorney and plaintiff for malicious prosecution.”

Okorie Okorcha, the attorney of the plaintiff is Ok with things. He said that under California law, a victim of sexual assault can file as John Doe fearing extreme embarrassment.

The embarrassing story has a chain of anonymous people in it. First, the plaintiff has chosen to remain anonymous. Next, according to the plaintiff, the massage was arranged by a caller who was anonymous. The anonymous caller met the anonymous plaintiff in an anonymous streetside location, picked him up and took him to the hotel. The agreed upon fee was two hundred dollars per hour, but the plaintiff wants two million.

The think-tank of the plaintiff, attorney Okorie Okorcha said “I wanted to make sure we had as much detail as possible. The more detail I have the more accurate I think” would be the claims.

When asked what took so long to file the case, Okorie Okorcha said that he wanted to investigate his client’s claims and discuss it with Travolta’s representatives before filing a claim. Okorcha said “We did discuss the matter with some of his people to see if there was any way it could be resolved … to make it easier on everyone.”

The suit claims sexual battery, assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The plaintiff has also sought a jury trial. Travolta’s office said that the lawsuit was “a complete fiction and fabrication. None of the events claimed in the suit ever occurred.”

Travolta, the Saturday Night star has been nominated for two Academy Awards and is married to Kelly Preston since 1991.
