Tracy Morgan was hospitalized on Saturday of this past weekend for ‘flu-like symptoms and dehydration’ while he was in Denver, Colorado. On Saturday, Morgan was scheduled to perform at Comedy Works South in Denver but had to cancel the show after becoming sick. Those with tickets to the show are being issued full refunds. This latest bout with illness comes only a couple of months after Morgan fell ill at the Sundance Film Festival. Morgan was seen being wheeled around in a wheelchair at the Denver International Airport on Sunday morning. He was boarding a flight back to New York.
One of Morgan’s representatives said the following: “He is fine. He had the flu before he left [for the trip].”
The health scare at the Sundance Film Festival occurred in January in Utah. Morgan was at an awards ceremony when he fell unconscious at Park City. His representatives said that there was no alcohol in Morgan’s system at the time of his collapse and instead said it was caused by ‘a combination of exhaustion and altitude.’
“Superman ran into a little kryptonite. The high altitude in Utah shook up this kid from Brooklyn. Thank U 2 the hospital staff. Back at work 2morrow shooting 30 Rock. Holla at me! Gotta thank the AMAZING medical staff and all my supporters! Love you,” Morgan tweeted after the Sundance incident.
