OneRepublic Drummer Eddie Fisher Arrested

On Tuesday, Eddie Fisher, the star drummer of the alternative rock band OneRepublic was arrested in Denver for destroying private property, disturbing peace and on suspicion of assault. While, little is known about the circumstances of the arrest or what caused the police to arrest Fisher, the fact is he is being held without bond at the Denver City Jail.

Even though the media was extremely interested over the case, the Denver Police spokesman, Sonny Jackson, was not forthcoming with any more information than that the drummer had been taken into custody on Tuesday morning. He is scheduled to appear before the court on Wednesday.

Fisher is an integral part of the hugely popular band OneRepublic, led by composer Ryan Tedder. The group has huge hits like the songs “Apologize” and “Stop and Stare.” “Apologize” sold more than 4.3 million digital downloads only in the United States and later went platinum in other countries. It also broke the airplay records in U.K.

Eddie grew up in Mission Viejo, California and recently shifted to Denver, Colorado. Eddie Fisher is the third drummer of the group OneRepublic and joined the band in 2005. Eddie is also credited with writing the hit song “Stop and Stare.”

The first album of One Republic was released in 2007 and named “Dreaming Out Loud.” It was followed in 2009 by the album “Waking Up.”

Eddie, 38, has drummed on many tracks for the band and credited with exceptional drumming on tracks like “Save You” and “If I Can’t Have You,” and “Please Don’t Stop the Rain.”
