Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber has been named as a suspect in a criminal battery, according to law enforcement sources. Bieber was in Calabasas, which is where he lives, not long after Noon on Sunday at The Commons. A member of the paparazzi tried to take a picture of Bieber, which led to an incident between Bieber and the cameraman, according to police. The cameraman called 911 and when the police arrived on scene, Bieber and his girlfriend, Selena Gomez, had already left the scene.
The cameraman told police that he was suffering pain in his upper torso and an ambulance was called to the scene. The cameraman was transported to a hospital, examined, and then released not much later. A police report was filed by the cameraman, who named Bieber as the other person involved in the incident. The altercation is being investigated by the police as a misdemeanor battery.
According to some witnesses from the scene, a lawyer approached the cameraman after the altercation and said that he could acquire a ton of money from what happened. The lawyer told the victim to call an ambulance and then file a report with police. According to witnesses, the cameraman was blocking the vehicle Bieber had with him as he was trying to leave the mall. When Bieber exited the vehicle and asked the man to move but did not, an altercation occurred between the two.
