Last month, according to a Minnesota Patch website, Ashley Brooker and Nicholas Doyle pled guilty for a couple of offenses. The pair pled guilty to possession of meth and driving under the influence of methamphetamine. The two were arrested back in November of 2011 after a police officer from Stillwater received a phone call informing him of a woman sitting in a parked car outside of a hospital. The caller said that the woman “seemed to be under the influence of some type of narcotic,” according to an arrest report.
When the officer approached the car, Brooker was seen searching the vehicle frantically for something. She claims she was looking for the finger of her boyfriend that he sliced off his hand. According to the police report, after a brief investigation by the officer, it was found that Doyle did not cut his finger off but instead simply cut his finger.
A second officer who arrived found a man in the hospital matching Doyle’s description, who was later identified as the woman’s boyfriend. When the police searched the vehicle they found multiple loaded syringes and other evidence of meth. When a toxicology test was performed on Brooker it was returned as saying that she tested positive for methamphetamine. The two each face five years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
