According to police reports, Lindsay Lohan was driving her black Porsche with ‘an unidentified male passenger’ on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica when her car collided with a dump truck. The police confirmed that Lohan was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Lohan and the passenger on her car were taken to a hospital and released shortly thereafter.
Lohan’s publicist, Steve Honig, issued a statement mentioning, “Lindsay was involved in an automobile accident today on her way to the set….She is fine and was released less than two hours later and is already headed back to the set to resume work. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident.”
Photos of Lohan’s car were published by TMZ showing smashed windows and a badly crushed front. Lindsay is in the process of making a comeback after her long-running troubles with the law including rehabilitation, jail, court sessions, and social service. She was released in March from her probation period that followed a 2007 drunken driving and cocaine possession case.
Currently, Lohan is playing the role of Elizabeth Taylof for a Lifetime TV movie, “Liz & Dick” based on Taylor’s affair with Richard Burton.
