‘Chaotic’ Cameron Forgets Child

On the very day that the U.K. government launched a drive to deal with “problem families” who lead chaotic lives and compel taxpayers to pay millions of pounds in welfare and policing costs, Britain’s Sun newspaper reported how Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife had forgotten their 8-year old daughter after a merry round in a country pub, and went home leaving her wondering.

It was only after reaching their 16th century mansion in Chequers that Cameron and his wife Samantha discovered that their 8-year old daughter was missing. Apparently, Nancy, Cameron’s daughter, had gone to the toilet, and the Prime Minister who is often criticized for being too fond of “chillaxing,” and his wife, left for home overlooking their minor daughter’s absence.

The child got overlooked when the elite couple left in separate vehicles. Apparently, such things rarely happen in the lives of ‘problem families’ as they rarely have own vehicles, let alone separate vehicles for husband and wife. However, the Downing Street spokeswoman told the media that “The Prime Minister and Samantha were distraught when they realized Nancy wasn’t with them. … Thankfully, when they phoned the pub, she was there safe and well. The Prime Minister went down straight to get her.”

Though Cameron was swiftly reunited with his daughter, the incident has caused critics to raise questions about Cameron’s own integrity in family responsibilities as the U.K. government pushes to crackdown on ‘problem families’ who show irresponsible behavior.
