The law firm of Loeb & Loeb LLP has announced via a press release from the firm that Allen Z. Sussman has joined the firm in the Los Angeles office. Sussman will work as a partner in the Capital Markets and Corporate Practice Groups. Sussman previously worked as a partner with Reed Smith LLP in their Corporate and Securities Practice in Los Angeles.
The practice of Sussman is centered on corporate and and securities transactions and counseling for his clients. His clients range from brand new startup teams to public companies from multiple industries. Those industries include entertainment, healthcare, banking and technology. Sussman also works as a representative for activist shareholders and private equity investors during control contests and acquisition transactions.

Sussman has experience in mergers and acquisitions, public and private securities offerings, SEC compliance, corporate governance, private equity transactions, venture capital and banking and financial services matters. Sussman worked as an attorney with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. and the Office of Thrift Supervision, Department of the Treasury.

Sussman acquired his J.D. from Boston University School of Law. While in school he was the editor for the Annual Review of Banking Law. Sussman earned his B.S. from Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations. For the past six years, Sussman has been named a Best Lawyer in America in Corporate Law. He has also been ranked in the top 100 IPO lawyers across the country by IPO Lawyer Yearbook. The addition of Sussman to the Corporate Practice in Los Angeles for Loeb & Loeb marks the second lateral partner to join the firm this year. Chelsea Grayson joined the firm in March from Jones Day.
