Ultimate Warrior Accused of Fraud

A wrestler from the former World Wrestling Federation, the Ultimate Warrior, was named in a police report for bilking a collector out of $28,000 and a boatload of wrestling merchandise. Some of the wrestling merchandise includes trunks worn in the wrestling ring. The police report was filed in the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department in New Mexico by a dealer of sports memorabilia whose name is Christopher Elias.

Elias has claimed that he reached a deal with the Ultimate Warrior for $28,000. In the deal, the Ultimate Warrior was supposed to send Elias classic merchandise from his own personal collection. The Ultimate Warrior was also supposed to sign 20 wrestling belts and 10 Wrestlemania posters owned by Elias. The Ultimate Warrior was paid close to $30,000 for the gear and for the autographs but Elias said that the wrestler suddenly went MIA before Elias received any of the merchandise promised to him.

As a result, Elias filed a fraud report with the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Department, requesting that they file criminal charges against the Ultimate Warrior. Elias has also said that he will file a lawsuit against the Ultimate Warrior if his money and memorabilia is not returned to him as soon as possible. The Ultimate Warrior was born as James Brian Hellwig in 1959.
