Former star of ‘The X-Files,’ Gillian Anderson, split with her partner Mark Griffiths recently. Anderson and Griffiths had been together for six years. Now, not long after the split, rumors have begun to swirl that Anderson and co-star David Duchovny are dating. Rumors claim that the two have been in a relationship for quite some time and that Anderson moved her two children in with Duchovny, who is the star of ‘Californication.’ The actors have known each other for close to 20 years. They filmed the show together for nine years and filmed two feature films together playing Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, agents of the FBI.
Duchovny separated from his wife, Tea Leoni, back in 2011 and then finalized the divorce earlier in 2012. A representative for Duchovny made it known that all of the rumors about him and Anderson are false. The representative said that Duchovny and Anderson are still good friends but are not dating.
Another reason why many believe the two could be dating is the fact that Anderson keeps touting her bisexuality in interviews with the media. Some see this as a way for her to hide her personal relationship, no matter who it might be with at the time. It seems as though X-Files fans will have to wait for some more solid evidence to come out until we can really know if these two former agents are dating.
