Young Russian Women Strangles Elderly Neighbor With Her Bra

In the East Siberian city of Zakamensk, an unnamed drunken woman choked her elderly neighbor after he refused to lend her money to get even more drunk, ultimately suffocating him to death with her bra.

The 26-year-old and her boyfriend had returned home that July evening and called on their 65-year-old pensioner neighbor to lend them money so they could go back out and get more vodka. There efforts were balked, however, when her neighbor refused, saying that he believed she “needed to live in a less debauched way.”

This seems to have been an intolerable answer to the young woman, because when he “refused to lend her money for a drinking binge,” the Russian Investigative Committee in Buryatia say that “The young woman then hit him several time, and kicked him … clutching her hands round his throat.”

“She then took her bra off, and looped it around the man’s neck.”

The boyfriend, meanwhile, made no move to stop her, though he did flee the scene with her, only to be arrested nearby.

The names of the neighbor and the woman have not yet been released. If found guilty for the murder, the woman could face up to 15 years in prison.
