These are tough times for bad-girl starlet Lindsay Lohan. She can’t seem to stay out of the courts — we’re used to that — but now it’s the hospital she’s frequenting.
TMZ revealed that Lohan had been rushed to the emergency room Sunday. The problem was a lung infection, and she was soon released. But she says its “walking pneumonia” that has worsened due to the anxiety of being arrested. The arrest regards a charge from last week where she allegedly hit a man with her Porsche only to leave the scene of the accident. She has faced such charges before. In this instance, she insists she was not under the influence of alcohol, of which she has also been charged for before, and for which she had to do community service. This time she is going so far as to sue the man she hit for claiming she reeked of alcohol.
TMZ wryly mentioned that her so-called pneumonia may have less to do with being arrested too many times, and more to do with her chain-smoking habits. That might not be the whole story. Lohan was hospitalized again on Monday, and this time she has pollen to blame. Apparently aside from being asthmatic, she is highly allergic to pollen — which has been thickening the airwaves of NYC lately.
“Lindsay had not been feeling well all last week following a week of high pollen counts in New York,” her mother said. “She has had bronchial asthma ever since she was little.” She suffered asthmatic attacks when filming “Parent Trap” because she was allergic to the horses she was working with at the time. Her parents claim the asthma nearly cost her her life a few times.
Asthma, allergies, and chain-smoking don’t make for a good combination, but when you add arrest-anxiety to the mix, it’s time to stop and take stock of your health.
