In her efforts to age gracefully while trying to remain relevant, the “Material Girl” may have allowed her impending senility to overcome her prudence in a recent concert in Washington. In what was a clear effort to woo the Democrat base and emphasize the greatness of the nation in having Mr. Obama as president, Madonna’s call to support Obama, apparently backfired.
A video clip posted on YouTube by audience members present at the Verizon Center during her concert shows her saying, “Now, it’s so amazing and incredible to think that we have an African-American in the White House … we have a black Muslim in the White House … it means there is hope in this country, and Obama is fighting for gay rights, so support the man.”
However, Obama who is campaigning hard for November 6 claims to be a practicing Christian.
Ha, ha, ha – you people don’t understand a joke: In response to a media backlash, Madonna issued a statement on Tuesday claiming her reference to Obama’s religion was tongue-in-cheek.
The 54-year old “Material Girl” played down her apparent lack of information by saying, “I was being ironic on stage. Yes, I know Obama is not a Muslim – though I know that plenty of people in this country think he is. And what if he were? … The point I was making is that a good man is a good man, no matter who he prays to. I don’t care what religion Obama is – nor should anyone else in America.”
Madonna has recently been so outspokenly in favor of Barrack Obama that she is known to have gone to the extent of ripping off her shirt during recent concerts to expose “OBAMA” written across her lower back.

In another effort to remain relevant, during one of her recent Paris concerts, Madonna screened footage of France’s far right wing leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika superimposed on her face. The party of Le Pen, the National Front has said it would sue the “Material Girl.” She has also been campaigning in Russia for gay rights and Pussy Riot.
