Lindsay Lohan Has Scuffle with New York Man

Granted, LiLo hasn’t always been on her best of behaviors, but what seems to have happened at a New York hotel on Sunday seems beyond explanation, as the police say “Nobody’s been arrested, there’s no assault,” but Lohan’s spokesman says “Lindsay was victim of an assault.” So, what did happen?

According to TMZ.com, LiLo met the man she had a scuffle with at a New York nightclub on Sunday. When in her hotel room, Lohan noticed the man was taking her pictures with his cellphone. According to TMZ, Lohan told the police that the man threw her to the ground, climbed on top of her and tried to throttle her when someone else removed him by force.

The man, who has not been arrested for any assault, has been identified as a staffer of Congressman John Shimkus, an Illinois Republican. The police spokeswoman told Reuters “Reports were taken and both parties were able to give their account of what took place.”

However, earlier in the day Steve Honig, Lohan’s spokesman had claimed that LiLo had been attacked and her assailant has been arrested.

So, is LiLo, who has been trying to amend mistakes and moving in and out of court, rehab, and prison, now a fair game for anyone with sufficient political clout, or is it pure media hype by her spokesman?

Anyway, trouble seems to be dogging LiLo’s heels as just last week she was charged with a misdemeanor for leaving the scene of an accident, when a pedestrian accused that her car had struck him in an alley.

Well, at least, it’s a relief to hear her spokesperson say, “She does not face any charges.”
