According to witnesses, a 16-year-old from Warrensville Heights, Ohio was killed by another teen that she teased about farting. A fight between the two teens occurred last Wednesday around 8 p.m. when witnesses say that the suspect passed gas. The girl killed, Shaakira Dorsey, began to tease the unidentified suspect until a fistfight occurred.

Dorsey’s stepfather ended the fight, which is when Dorsey collapsed. Dorsey was rushed to a hospital but died. An official cause of death has yet to be released. The suspect in the case has been charged with one count of murder and was scheduled to appear in court today.

There could be more people charged in Dorsey’s death as multiple calls made to 911 claim that adults were witnesses to the fight but did not act to stop it immediately. Dorsey was a junior in high school and a member of her school’s softball team.

“At the end of my driveway, it’s some kids fighting, and it’s adults there watching … it’s adults, grown-ups there watching them fight,” one 911 caller said.

A statement was released by the Warrensville Heights School District:

Details regarding arrangements will be shared at a later date.”

The police report, which blanks out Dorsey’s stepfather’s name, states that the fight occurred on Walford Road:

“When I asked [blank] what Shaakira had been doing prior to talking on the lawn he became very evasive and would not provide any information.  As I spoke with [blank] Shaakira’s mother [blank] arrived on scene.  She had not been notified of the situation but also confirmed Shaakira had no pre existing medical conditions. I again spoke with [blank] about the events leading to Shaakira’s collapse.  This time [blank] advised as he pulled in front of 4796 Walford Shaakira jumped from his cars back seat and ran behind an SUV  … [blank] then stated Shaakira and another girl emerged from behind the SUV fighting.”
