Police officers said that Bobby Brown was pulled over just before 1 a.m. Wednesday and failed a field sobriety test on Ventura Blvd. in Tarzana, California. He was just four miles from his home in Encino when he was pulled over by police. Brown was arrested for his second DUI in just seven months.
“He was pulled over for a traffic violation and based on the officer’s observations, he was arrested and booked for driving under the influence,” Sgt. Pablo Monterrosa with the Los Angeles Police Department said in an interview with the Daily News. “He failed a combination of the field sobriety test and the breathalyzer. It sounds like he was cooperative.”
Officers said that Brown was booked and then released just hours later after posting $25,000 bail. Over the summer, Brown spent some time in rehab after reaching a plea agreement in March for his other DUI arrest. On March 26, Brown was stopped for talking on his cell phone while operating his vehicle and smelled of alcohol, according to police. Someone from Brown’s team said that he had been drinking the night before and still had alcohol in his system.
“It could have been worse. It could have been really, really bad behavior, with all his irate-ness and craziness,” the source said, referring to the March arrest.
