According to the Denver Business Journal, the law firm Burleson LLP, announced on Tuesday that it has hired eight attorneys to join its office in Denver. The firm is dedicated to the sector covering oil and gas. The law firm is headquartered in Houston and opened its office in Denver in 2011. The office houses 31 attorneys who deal with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; litigation; environmental law; regulatory law; corporate and securities law; real estate; oil and gas title; general oil and gas law and business and contract law.
The managing partner in the Denver office, Jack Luellen, said in a press release, “In the year since we opened, we’ve built an incredibly strong team of attorneys who have the depth and breadth of knowledge that energy companies need to manage the complexities of today’s operating environment. We’ve expanded our regional reach significantly, and these new attorneys will allow us to broaden our scope even further, reinforcing to our clients that we are committed to delivering the widest range of legal services to energy companies in the Rocky Mountain region.”
The attorneys joining the firm in Denver include the following: Laura Bowzer (oil and gas title law), Aine Durkin (title), Jillian Fulcher (oil and gas law royalties and remedies and securities law), Sally Kent (title, mineral and royalty conveyances), Melissa Lyon (litigation, transactional and oil and gas), Steve Nagy (former assistant attorney general for Colorado Attorney General’s Office), Craig Rowland (oil and gas title) and Ward Scott (title).
