On Wednesday, the spokesman of Hollywood actress Evan Rachel Wood reported that the actress had married Jamie Bell, the star of “Billy Elliot.” The spokeswoman informed that the “bride wore a custom dress by Carolina Herrera. It was a small ceremony with close family and friends.” The wedding took place on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, Wood made a Twitter posting, saying “Words cannot describe the happiness I am feeling. Overwhelming.” Wood had first dated Bell about seven years ago. However, the couple broke up and Wood had a highly publicized affair and engagement with heavy metal rocker Marilyn Manson, who is much senior to her. Though Wood and Bell never confirmed their patch up, it was rumored that they had become engaged in January this year.
Wood earned her fame for her roles in movies like “The Wrestler” and “Thirteen,” while Bell earned stardom as the teen star of “Billy Elliot,” a movie about a ballet dancer spending his childhood in a coal mining town in northern England. Bell won a British BAFTA award for his performance and has later acted in movies like “The Eagle” and “Jumper.”
While Wood, at least, has let out some words to the public about her feelings over the marriage, Bell seems to be dumbstruck.
