According to a man from Utah, Dean Hansen, a sighting of the Virgin Mary and the baby Jesus occurred in a piece of wood. The discovery was made about six weeks ago when Hansen and his uncle, Lee Taylor, were cutting pinyon pine wood in Utah for firewood and tent posts, according to KSTU-TV.
“When we first saw it, we were like ‘wow,’” Hansen told the station.
Hansen said that the wood is being kept in a safe place until he figures out if he will be putting it on display or not.
This is not the first time the Virgin Mary has been sighted in objects. For instance, a sighting was reported in October at a New Jersey car wash. It was reported that the image of the Virgin Mary appeared in a cloud of smoke. Other sightings included a tree trunk in Sleepy Hollow, New York and one in New York City over the summer.
According to a new study from Northwestern University said that human brains are wired to find familiarity and meaning in abstract objects. If you want to see images of the baby Jesus, you can purchase the toaster that imprints Jesus onto pieces of bread that you would like to have toasted.
