In a press release from the law firm of Vinson & Elkins LLP, the firm has promoted a group of lawyers to its partnership. Those lawyers include Gregory Dillard in Houston, Sarah K. Morgan in Houston, Marc Rose in Dallas and Darin Schultz in Houston. The lawyers added to the firm’s partnership will help expand the practices of capital markets and securities, finance, mergers and acquisitions/private equity and employment and labor and OSHA.

Kelly is the chairman of Vinson & Elkins LLP. “These promotions reflect great individual accomplishments, while reinforcing the strategic vision we have for their respective practice groups and the firm.â€
All of the promotions become active on January 1, 2013.

Below is some basic information on each of the new partners at the firm.
Greg Dillard, Employment, Labor and OSHA: Some of Dillard’s clients include chemical and gas plants, oil refineries and drilling/production companies when it comes to complying with the process safety management and safety regulations from OSHA.
Dillard earned his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law back in 2002 and his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University, School of Foreign Service, in 1998.
Sarah Morgan, Capital Markets: Morgan centers her practice around mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, private equity and general corporate and securities matters.
Morgan graduated from the University of Virginia School of Law in 2004 and earned her bachelor’s degree in 2001 from Rice University.
Marc Rose, Mergers & Acquisitions/Private Equity: Rose focuses his practice on corporate transactional work, mergers and acquisitions, energy transactions and private equity investments.
In 2003, Rose graduated from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. He received his bachelor’s degree in 2000 from Brigham Young University.
Darin Schultz, Finance: Schultz centers his practice around project financings, secured lending transactions and acquisition financings. Schultz has represented project developers, arrangers, lenders, investors and financial advisors when it comes to the construction, financing, development and operation of international and domestic capital intensive projects. In 2004, Schultz graduated from Georgetown University Law Center cum laude and earned his bachelor’s degree from Georgetown in 2001.
