Actress Katie Holmes’ figure has been voted ‘best revenge body’ of 2012, in a yearly list created by Fitness magazine. Holmes, age 34, broke up with Tom Cruise in June 2012 after six years of marriage.
Holmes won full custody of her daughter Suri, age 6. Holmes recently celebrated a birthday with her daughter. Earlier in the year, she and Suri moved to an apartment in New York City. The actress lives in a $12,500-a-month rental in the Big Apple’s Chelsea neighborhood.
Holmes is best known for her teen role on Dawson’s Creek. Holmes was Joey Potter on the show. The character Potter was known as headstrong and someone who was really pretty but did not know it.
Holmes went on after Dawson’s Creek to star in films, such as Phone Booth and Wonder Boys. She currently stars on Broadway in “Dead Accounts. Case in point?” Her character, Lorna, is a Catholic-raised woman from a huge Ohio family. Holmes is also busy as the founder of a fashion line. She and Suri have been spotted visiting the zoo, taking the subway, and playing in a park, according to Radar Online.
She must be happy to turn age 34 because age 33 was apparently the same age each of Cruise’s past wives were when they broke up with Cruise. Fitness magazine ranked Holmes’ figure ahead of singer Katy Perry’s after break-up body, reported contactmusic.com. Holmes is often seen attending spinning classes and maintains curves by following a diet of vegetables and fruit.
Fitness magazine gave Blake Lively ‘best legs’ in the poll, and Jennifer Lawrence was voted ‘best curves’. Lively married in 2012.
Holmes is an internationally-recognized actress, but tells US Weekly: “I still think of myself as Midwestern.” Holmes is from Toledo, Ohio. During the summer when her divorce from Cruise was in controversy, Holmes and Suri retreated to her family home in Toledo. She spent time with her attorney father, and they went out for ice cream. Holmes told the Times she got into a new ice cream flavor: “Spouse Like a House” (vanilla with chocolate-covered pretzels and caramel).
Holmes is the youngest child of five children. Her mother is a homemaker and philanthropist, and she has three older sisters and one older brother.
Star Magazine recently claimed Holmes planned to adopt a baby girl to give Suri a sister. Star reported Suri has not been happy since the Cruise divorce, and claimed Holmes was “consulting with a high-end NYC adoption agency to find a 2- or 3-year-old girl who needs a family.”
