It was falsely reported on Friday by multiple outlets that Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila welcomed a baby girl into the world, their third child. In fact, their child was born last week, but it is a baby boy. So, make sure you do not send any pink baby gifts to the family.
“Camila gave birth to our third child yesterday morning,” McConaughey posted to WhoSay.com on Saturday. “Our son Livingston Alves McConaughey was born at 7:43 am on 12.28.12. He greeted the world at 9lbs. and 21 inches.” He also thanked their fans for well wishes and finished with, “Happy New Year, and just keep livin’.”
Livingston joins brother Levi, 4, and sister Vida, who will turn 3 in January. All three of the children have the middle name of Alves, which is their mother’s maiden name. The couple married on June 10 at their home in Austin, Texas, but have been together since 2006. Levi was the ring bearer and Vida was the flower girl in the ceremony.
On July 4, less than a month following their wedding, McConaughey published a tweet that said, “Happy birthday America, more good news. Camila and I are expecting our 3rd child.” The couple did not want to find out the sex of the baby prior to the birth.
