Yates, McLamb & Weyher Has Seven Partners Listed as Top Lawyers

A law firm from Raleigh, North Carolina, Yates, McLamb & Weyher LLP, announced in two separate press releases that seven partners at its firm received honors recently. In the one announcement, Kathrine Fisher was awarded an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell.

Fisher’s practice focuses on personal injury claims and professional malpractice and she is a partner at the law firm. Fisher has argued cases in front of the North Carolina Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court, the United States Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and has argued in front of the United States Supreme Court as a counsel of record.

The ratings handed out by Martindale-Hubbell are Peer Review Ratings that are objective marks of the ethic standards and professional qualities of a lawyer. A lawyer is awarded AV Preeminent when he or she receives a rating on the Martindale-Hubbell scale between 4.5-5.0. The ratings awarded to lawyers are issued on five criteria, which include the following:

The lawyer’s legal knowledge, the lawyer’s analytical capabilities, their judgment, their ability to communicate and their legal experience.

In the other press release from the firm, it was announced that seven partners at the firm have been listed as Top Rated Lawyers by ALM. ALM created a list of North Carolina Top Rated Lawyers. The lawyers who made the list have received AV Preeminent ratings from Martindale-Hubbell. Those lawyers include founding partners Dan McLamb and Barbara B. Weyher, firm partners Fisher, Barry Cobb, John Minier, Rod Pettey and Brian Williams.
