It has been reported by gossip news site TMZ that Oksana Grigorieva is filing a lawsuit because she claims she was sabotaged by her very own lawyers in the settlement she had with actor Mel Gibson. She claims that the sabotage by her lawyers caused her to wind up with a bad custody agreement.
Oksana has filed legal documents on her own, without a lawyer, that claim Ron Litz and Daniel Horowitz negligently advised her to sign a bad deal in 2011. According to the lawsuit filed by Oksana, the deal she signed prevents her from pursuing future legal action against Gibson related to their children without risking losing the money settlement she got from Gibson.
In the deal with Gibson, Oksana was to be paid $750,000 in cash along with providing Oksana a home for her and their daughter Lucia until Lucia turns 18. Oksana claims in the lawsuit that she was advised to sign a legal document that divested her of ownership rights to the home. Oksana said that if not for her lawyers, she never would have signed those documents.
Horowitz told TMZ, “Why can’t she just live her life normally and have a good life, raise the kid, live in the house, make music, be happy? Why does she always have to be in a struggle — especially with people who care the most about her?”
