Dinsmore has announced via a press release that Thomas Trimm has joined the firm’s office in Pittsburgh as a partner in the firm’s Public Finance Practice Group. Trimm does not have to go far, since he comes from Pepper Hamilton LLP
For the second consecutive year, Dinsmore’s public finance practice was ranked first in the state of Pennsylvania by Thomson Reuters for the number of bond issues the firm served as bond counsel.
Christopher Brewer helped Anthony Ditka launch the Public Finance Group at Dinsmore back in 2007. He said the following about the hiring of Trimm:
“Tom’s wide versatility as a bond attorney and his established relationships with major government issuers, both in western Pennsylvania and at the State level, will significantly enhance what is already a leading bond counsel practice within the Commonwealth.”
Trimm has practice experience with real estate, public finance, land use and development and project finance. In multiple bond financings, Trimm has worked as issuer’s counsel, developer’s counsel, or bond counsel.
Trimm has also worked as counsel for the Allegheny County Industrial Development Authority, the Public Parking Authority of the City of Pittsburgh, and the Stadium Authority of the City of Pittsburgh. He acquired his law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He earned his B.A. from Washington & Jefferson College.
