New results from Public Policy Polling were released on Wednesday that show the credibility of Fox News has dropped nine percent since three years ago. The poll occurs annually and it asks participants to rate the trust they have in television networks. The networks they can rate include Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, PBS, Comedy Central, ABC News, CBS News and NBC News.
The press release from PPP says the following:
Just like its actual ratings, Fox News has hit a record low in the four years that we’ve been doing this poll. 41% of voters trust it to 46% who do not. To put those numbers into some perspective the first time we did this poll, in 2010, 49% of voters trusted it to 37% who did not.
The researchers also found that Fox News is both the least trusted network and the most trusted network when it is compared to other networks listed in the poll. The poll found that 39 percent of respondents trust Fox News the least and 34 percent said they trust Fox News the most.
MSNBC did not do too well either, with 44 percent of respondents saying that they do not trust the network compared to 35 percent saying they do. CNN received a 38 percent vote of people who trust the network compared to 43 percent who said they do not trust them.
PBS did well in the polling, with 52 percent saying they trust the network compared to 29 percent saying they do not trust the network.
