Law firm Proskauer Rose announced on Wednesday that it had hired prominent employment litigator Connie N. Bertram as a partner in its Washington D.C. office. Ms. Bertram leaves Cooley LLP to join Proskaeur Ros as the co-head of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice in Washington D.C. She will also co-head the Whistleblowing & Retaliation practice group.

Ms Bertram was selected among Washington Business Journals “Top Washington Lawyers” in employment litigation. She was also named the “Leading Lawyer” in labor and employment law by the Legal Times and a “Top Washington Lawyer” in employment law by the Washingtonian magazine. Chambers USA named her a leading lawyer in labor and employment in 2012.
A series of leading lawyers including Ms. Bertram has joined Proskauer and Rose’s Labor & Employment Law Department over the last one-year period. In 2012, Steven Pearlman joined the Chicago office as co-head of the law firm’s Whistleblowing & Retaliation Group in Chicago. Cedric Jacquelet was hired as International Counsel in Paris. In Los Angeles, Kenneth Sulzer joined as co-head of the firms California Labor & Employment Law and Class/Collective Action groups.
