“I never thought I’d be back here. And I am,” producer-director Ben Affleck said during the acceptance speech for “Argo.” “It doesn’t matter how you get knocked down in life. That’s going to happen. All that matters is that you’ve got to get up.”

Jennifer Lawrence, winner for best actress for her work in the movie “Silver Linings Playbook,” fell on her way up the steps to accept the award. She said, “You guys are just standing up because you feel bad that I fell and that’s embarrassing.”

Seth MacFarlane, from “Family Guy” and “Ted,” hosted the show, which was a tribute to music in movies. A video and song tribute was performed for the “Bond” series, which featured Adele singing her hit “Skyfall.”

Despite MacFarlane’s constant jokes, which seemed to get a good amount of laughs, many critics called for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to host the ceremony in 2014. Let us know your thoughts on the awards in our comments section.
