Mr. Mycyk, who left Chadbourne in 2007, is returning to focus on corporate and banking/finance matters in Ukraine. Until recently, he was a partner at CMS Cameron McKenna in Kyiv.
In his practice, Mr. Mycyk regularly advises both international and Ukrainian companies, banks, investment banks and a range of other financial institutions and investors on structuring and implementing debt and equity inward investments involving privatizations, mergers and acquisitions or joint ventures and on complex cross-border commercial and financing transactions. His experience and client base spans financial institutions and services, consumer products, energy, manufacturing, telecommunications and agriculture.

Mr. Mycyk’s recent work has included advising EBRD on a variety of financing transactions in Ukraine, a U.S. manufacturer of agricultural equipment on financing sales of equipment to Ukrainian companies, and a Chinese manufacturer of solar power equipment in connection with its equipment sales to a leading Ukrainian developer of solar power plants.
Other notable transactions include representation of a Swedish home appliance company in the acquisition of a plant and other assets from a white goods manufacturer in Ukraine, a large German real estate bank in its financing of the acquisition of a shopping mall in downtown Kyiv, a leading food company in its acquisition of a large Ukrainian producer of dehydrated culinary products and advising a central European banking group in an acquisition of both a Ukrainian bank and a Ukrainian consumer credit company.

For many years, Mr. Mycyk has consistently been ranked in Band 1 in Corporate/Commercial by Chambers Global and is recommended as a Banking & Finance practitioner in Ukraine. He has also received a Band 2 ranking for Energy and Natural Resources by Chambers Europe 2012, which referred to him as a “great professional who is very knowledgeable regarding the energy sector.” Additionally, Mr. Mycyk has been recognized by PLC Which Lawyer? as well as Best Lawyers and Ukrainian Law Firms 2010-2012.
Mr. Mycyk graduated from the George Washington University, B.A., International Affairs, in 1988 and The Catholic University of America, The Columbus School of Law, J.D., in 1991. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Maryland bars.
