Potter Anderson Expands Transactional Practice with Three New Partners

Delaware law firm Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP announced today the addition of three highly regarded attorneys as firm partners. Robert L Symonds, Jr., Matthew J. O’Toole, and Thomas A. Mullen are well-respected Delaware attorneys who joined Potter Anderson in order to provide even better counsel in corporate and business law for the firm’s large client base.

Symonds and O’Toole join Potter Anderson from the Delaware office of Stevens & Lee, while Mullen comes from Prickett, Jones, & Elliott. All three attorneys are members of the drafting committee responsible for amendments to the Delaware Limited Liability Company Act, the Delaware Revised Uniform Limited Partnership Act and the Delaware Revised Uniform Partnership Act.

Symonds has been practicing as an attorney for almost thirty years. During his career, he has served as Delaware counsel to lenders, borrowers, investors, managers, trustees, and other parties in domestic and international business transactions.

O’Toole specializes in the structure and use of Delaware business entities, including corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and statutory trusts. Symonds and O’Toole wrote Symonds & O’Toole on Delaware Limited Liability Companies, published by Wolters Kluwer Law & Business/Aspen Publishers.

Mullen has more than twenty years of experience advising clients on Delaware corporate and alternative entity law matters, and provides third-party legal opinions in commercial transactions subject to Delaware law. He has particular experience advising boards and conflict committees of master limited partnerships in connection with mergers, reorganizations, and related party transactions.
