One of Justin Bieber’s male fans “beliebed” a bit too much: during a Dubai performance, he stormed the stage and attempted to tackle the 19-year-old performer, before being wrenched off by security, and upturning the piano in the process.
“All is fine.” said one of Bieber’s reps to E! News. “A man ran on stage during “Believe” [a song] and tried to grab Justin and knocked the piano over. He was a fan. Security detained the young man. All was fine and Justin continued the show.”
Indeed, Justin moseyed off stage to catch his breath, and after three minutes returned with his encore, finishing with his hits “Boyfriend, “ and “Baby.”
The National reported that Thomas Oveson, an executive at Done Events, said “A young fan desperate to meet his idol did make his way on stage, but was immediately removed and Justin professionally continued with his show. As far as we know no further action has been taken against the youth,” such as, being smacked around for his choice of idols, which may not have been entirely inappropriate.
Bieber tweeted: “Dubai. Nothing stops the show. 2 more to go.” Well, nothing stopped the show this time, but people are crazy: gotta beef up your security if you got maniacs tackling you on stage.
