There’s no rest for the dead now that Michael Jackson, who passed away four years ago, is being charged yet again with childhood sexual abuse. This time the charges are coming from Wade Robson, a famous choreographer who has worked with Britney Spears, NSYNC, Usher, and P!nk.
Wade Robson indeed befriended Michael, and that at the strange age of 5 years old, when he and Michael would sleep over at the Neverland ranch, continually until he was 14. Nevertheless, 8 years ago during Jackson’s sexual-abuse trial, Robson gave “strong and unwavering” testimony, as Jackson’s lawyer called it, that Jackson was in fact innocent.
“This is a young man who has testified at least twice under oath over the last 20 years and said in numerous interviews that Michael Jackson never did anything inappropriate to him or with him,” said Jackson Estate lawyer Howard Weitzman to TMZ Wednesday. “Now nearly four years after Michael has passed, this sad and less than credible claim has been made.”
The claim is under seal and not available to the public. However, the choreographer is suggesting that his “repressed memory” held him back from making the claim earlier, and so he is asking the court to consider the complaint, as late, belated, and contradictory as it seems. Whether the court allows Robson to make a late creditor’s claim to collect money is yet to be seen.
