The cast of glee and the show’s producers had tried several times to assist Cory Monteith in kicking the habit. Monteith battled an addiction to heroin earlier in the year and that was his reason behind his decision to admit himself into rehab this past March.
According to inside sources that knew Cory Monteith, it was no secret that the star was relapsing and abusing heroin. The producers as well as the cast of the show Glee were worried and they were aware that he needed an intervention. They feared for him as a colleague and as a friend.
According to TMZ, the group sat down with Cory and had an open conversation with the actor stressing how much they cared about him and wanted him to get help.
An insider knowledgeable about the situation noted that Cory did not argue back at this or disagree or fight in any way. He seemed to be aware of how much his friends cared about him and he was happy realizing how lucky he was to have great friends.
At the end of the month of March Cory Monteith checked himself into rehab. His intention was to stay for 30 days and get clean. Sadly he is now in a place where he no longer has to battle addiction. He was found dead in a hotel room. It is now known that he died from a lethal mixture of alcohol and heroin. His fans, friends and family mourn him.
