Famous attorney Roger Rosen has a lot going on right now, what with his honeymoon abroad, not to mention battling cancer, but one thing no longer going on for him is a career in law. This after representing such famous clients as Phil Spector, Al Pacino, Kim Basinger, Terrence Howard, and O.J. Simpson. His career was done in when he reported what one his clients, Henry Butler, was saying to feds about a cocaine operation of interest to another of his clients, James Rosemond, who among other things is suspected of setting up the hit that killed Tupac Shakur.
The indiscretion cost the well-known attorney the rest of his career. He has agreed to leave the profession and pay $22,500 in legal fees in exchange to dodge an indictment. He also asked permission to take a belated honeymoon, as he married five months previously, as reported by the New York Post.
That the star-studded career should end so anticlimactically, with his avowal that he would practice no more, and this based on an indiscretion, is a tale with a moral. Psychologists tell us that an episode of our life is summed up into a memory based on its highest moment and its ending moment, so that, say, we remember a vacation by its peak moment and how it ended. You want to end well, and not leaving, as Rosen did, without making any statement, skirting photographers and leaving to begin a new life outside of law.
