43-year-old Lisa Robin Kelly has died of cardiac arrest. She died in her sleep at a rehab facility in California. She had checked herself into rehab for treatment earlier in the week. She had been suffering in the battle against addiction for some time. TMZ reported that paramedics found needle marks on her arm, although Kelly’s boyfriend noted that those were from her treatment.
Recently, the former ‘That 70s Show’ actress was known to have had a problem with alcohol, and had been in the news headlines with DUI. She was arrested for drunk driving. Other low moments include and assault arrests, where police were involved with her and her boyfriend in apparent domestic violence issues and spousal abuse.
Her agent, Craig Wycoff, commented on the tragedy, “Unfortunately Lisa Robin Kelly passed away. Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility earlier this week where she was battling with the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years.” He goes on to say that he had spoken to her just this past Monday and that she seemed to be both hopeful as well as confident. The agent who had known her mentioned that Lisa Robin Kelly was looking forward, and wanted to put the worst behind her, but that “last night she lost the battle.” Her friends and family will mourn her.
