NBA star and husband of Khloe Kardashian, Lamar Odom was arrested for “driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs,” early this morning. At 3:54 am in the San Fernando Valley Lamar was driving a white Mercedes SUV when he was stopped by the California highway patrol. Cops mentioned that he was on the 101 Freeway and driving slower than the speed limit. They also commented that he was driving in a “serpentine manner.” He has been booked and taken to a nearby police station, where his bail is set at $15,000.
Odom didn’t respond to the police sirens and drove on for three exits after police were signaling him to stop. According to TMZ, police felt that Lamar’s intoxication was obvious. At the scene he failed sobriety tests, and he refused all chemical tests when he was booked. Records indicate he was 6’10 and 235 pounds. Sadly, he has been in the media recently for going on a crack binge.
Police found that Lamar was under the influence of drugs and alcohol, and they report that his “driving and conduct were consistent with drugs.” Nothing was found in Lamar’s car except for cigarettes and cologne. According to the L.A. County Sherriff’s Dept., Lamar has been released from custody. As Lamar battles drugs and alcohol, his marriage to Khloe Kardashian is in bad shape. Odom walked out on his drug intervention, and prematurely left rehab. Speculation is high on what may happen next, but celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser met with the Kardashians this week, so things are not looking great.
