Kristen Stewart was fundraising for a hurricane Sandy benefit. An unnamed Middle Eastern prince gave Stewart $500,000 for a good cause, in exchange for a small chat. Mogul Harvey Weinstein told reporters all about the deal he brokered between the Royal Middle Eastern prince, and the actress at the Toronto International Film Festival’s screening of “12.12.12,” a Hurricane Sandy benefit concert movie, According to the NY Daily News, Weinstein said that the prince paid just to spend 15 minutes with Stewart, and US Weekly reports that all of the money was given to the Hurricane Sandy benefit.
Finding out about the prince’s inclination to have a chat with her, Twilight actress Stewart was “intrigued with the offer” and reportedly asked Weinstein how much the royal was offering. A pricey agreement was struck and the money changed hands before the meeting with the actress at Madison Square Garden in New York City. And then 23 year old Kristen chitchatted with the prince.
The sizable donation of half a million was given to the Hurricane Sandy relief fund. That amount was relatively small compared to the full sum raised in the benefit concert. The fundraiser had assistance in celebrity A-listers like Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Mick Jagger and Bruce Springsteen. Combined with their efforts, the fundraiser managed to secure $30 million to help the relief efforts.
