“I just told you who I thought I was! A God! I just told you! That’s who I think I am!” So said Kanye West in his BBC Radio 1 interview with Zane Lowe, in which he also described himself as the “biggest” rock star ever. Well! With such over-the-top egotism, wouldn’t such gab lend itself, perhaps, to some comedic deflation? Jimmy Kimmel thought so, and parodied the pop star in this video.
Who knew that Kanye would take it so hard? With such an inflated ego, it seems he’s a bit sensitive to Kimmel’s mockery, and raged at the late night comedian, making fun of Kimmel’s…face.

Kimmel responded in tweet form rather modestly, noting, most of all, how angry Kanye seems to have gotten over the incident:
Nevertheless, the escalating situation is leading to comedic gold, as Jimmy, ever smug and condescending in his glib smirking manner has laughed at Kanye’s overblown reaction to a mere comedian doing what comedians are paid to do: be irreverent. But of course, Jimmy wasn’t merely being irreverent to the husband of Kim Kardashian, which is not so much permissible as obligatory, but he was being irreverent to “a God”…”the “biggest rock star ever.” That’s an entirely different matter. Nevertheless, Kanye continues to feature into the wisecracks of Kimmel’s late night show.
