Edward Smith has had love affairs with over 1000 sex partners in his life, but he can boast that he has had sex with only one human partner. This man is a “mechaphile,” a person sexually attracted to planes, automobiles, trains and the like. Smith is 63, and he comments, “Some guys look at boobs and bums on beautiful women. I look at the front and rear on beautiful cars.”
Although the man with his sex drive in the fast lane isn’t strictly monogamous, he is mostly committed to a VW Beetle named “Vanilla,” purchased 30 years ago. Smith claims that when he embraces ‘Vanilla’ that there is a tangible and very real and “powerful energy that comes from her in response to that. If anything would happen to her I would be more than heartbroken.” Though the man has a strong love for his VW Beetle, he also shifts gears and races with a 1973 Opel GT named ‘Cinnamon,’ as well as once in a while pounding the pavement with a 1993 Ford Ranger named ‘Splash,’ according to the Huffington Post.
While the man who has sex with cars is certainly unique, over the summer a man was caught making loving gestures with his penis to a Land Rover. Regarding this, Edward Smith has himself estimated that there are hundreds of people in the world having sex with vehicles. Interestingly, Smith tells his story boldly, “When I turned 13 and the famous Corvette Stingray came about, that car was pure sex and just an incredible machine.”
