Before a school dance, young Sandra sat and memorized each and every lyric. She prepped and stressed, but came ready to her school’s dance and sang each and every lyric of the Sugarhill Gang’s hit song “Rapper’s Delight” and won a young man’s heart with her talented lip-syncing. She recalled at the interview, “I was like, next time I go to that dance, I’m going to know every word, and I’m going to make sure he sees me lip-syncing it, and I’m going to catch his eye, and say the words. And he’s going to like me. It worked!”
Also on the show was the famous award winning actor Tom Hanks. Hanks was promoting his new film Captain Phillips. According to Fox News, Hanks had set up a musical gag, playing the tune Chopsticks on a giant floor keyboard as he did in the super hit movie Big alongside Bullock. The audience was in tears.
