Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have decided to split after six years together. The Lord of the Rings star and Australian Victoria’s Secret Angel also have a child together and they were married in 2010, though they have been an item since 2007. The rumors of their break-up came about after Kerr was seen not wearing her wedding ring. Even Bloom’s mother defended them by telling sources they were “happy.” However, after being photographed separately for some time, the rumors only heightened. The ex-couple stated that their relationship has been on the downside for a while, but only now are they ready to make it official. They both remain good friends and devoted parents to their son, Flynn, born in 2011. Despite being recently seen together at the Romeo and Juliet after party, their decision remains final, though they still respect each other tremendously. If only all break-ups ended that way.
According to the Daily News, Bloom is currently on Broadway and receiving rave reviews playing Romeo in the new production of Romeo and Juliet, but he is best known for playing the swashbuckling Will Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies with Johnny Depp and Kiera Knightly. He rose to fame after playing the bow and arrow shooting and extremely handsome elf, Legolas, in Peter Jackson’s epic, award winning Lord of the Rings trilogy. He will be reprising the role in the upcoming The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the second film in the Lord of the Rings prequel franchise. Kerr was made a Victoria’s Secret Angel in 2007 and took the number four spot in the “Top 20 Sexiest Models.”
