VIDEO: Ohio State’s Marching Band Wows Us With Hollywood Montage

You thought the marching band moonwalk was cool? That was merely the start, and Ohio State University’s marching band proves it can outdo itself, flaunting their marching prowess with a Hollywood theme performance.

Their show begins with the theme of Superman, the band marching into a formation of the “S” Superman logo, before marching into the shape of a caped man who sets a building straight.

The band went on to form the ring logo and the evil eye image from “Lord of the Rings,” before continuing the fantasy theme with the logo of Harry Potter, and then enacting Potter flying on his broom.

Jurassic Park was next performed, with its majestic theme music, as the band formed into a tyrannosaurus rex, which moves forward and eats a man.

The Pirates of the Caribbean followed, with a battle between two ship, one with a Michigan Flag, the other with Ohio State’s, using real fireworks to “fight,” and of course Michigan is sunk. The band then forms into the skull and sword emblem of the movies.

If this is to outdo the Michael Jackson moonwalk, we can only say, “well done,” but let it stand as a challenge for their next ambitious move: beat that!
