Singer Kelly Clarkson of American Idol fame is pregnant! This is the third child for her husband Brandon Blackstock, who already has two kids, Savannah and Seth. They are from a previous marriage. Country music legend, Reba McEntire, who’s married to Blackstock’s father, now has another grandchild on the way.
Clarkson, is quoted saying that, “I never wanted kids before, but now I want, like, five.”
She also tweeted the news on Tuesday saying, “Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever!” Clarkson wrote according to CNN. The singer, who has been married for a month, on a radio interview October 30 exclaimed when asked what she would like for Christmas, “I want babies!” A superb gift for the growing family, but it’s not really a surprise.
Jay Leno asked Kelly Clarkson when she was on an appearance of his show if she had anything that she wanted to reveal, but she was coy convincing Leno, “We are not announcing anything right now. We’re not, no!”
The singer had said many times that right after she got married to Brandon Blackstock last month, she would then plan on having a child right away. Kelly Clarkson shared the wonderful news via Twitter this afternoon. Her fans everywhere will be congratulating her on becoming a mother.
