The National Enquirer continues to misuse the news to report whatever gossip it can stew, now with accusations from anonymous, probably made up sources that Country singer Brad Paisley is cheating on his wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley with fellow country singer Carrie Underwood.
Perhaps seeing the two co-host the 47th Annual Country Music Association Awards earlier this month, when the two “sparkled together,” was too much for the gossip-driven “news” source, and they quickly confabulated a story so stretched and unlikely, that Kimberly was more amused than shocked when she was told of it:
“Am I in the National Enquirer? You’re breaking it to me! What did I do?” she said to Us Weekly. When being informed what the Enquirer had come up with, she said, “are you serious? Wow! I hope it helps our careers! That’s all I can say.”
Brad meanwhile seems as happy as ever with his wife. “She’s so down to earth – there’s no pretentiousness,” he had said to Redbook magazine in 2011. “With Kim I realized that if I ever let her go, not only could I never do any better, but I would always regret it. So I had to marry her, I had no choice!”
Kimberly confirmed that the two were still “very much in love” and that though Brad keeps a busy career, “We have family Sundays together. We spend as much time as we can. We’re very down-to-earth people. We come from good families, and we appreciate family.”
