MSNBC Says Bye to Alec Bladwin

After ANOTHER homophobic tirade earlier this month, MSNBC has finally decided to cut Alec Baldwin, who hosted the poorly-rated weekly show, “Up Late with Alec Baldwin.”

The actor and former MSNBC talk show host, Alec Baldwin, is now out of a job. According to US Magazine, only six weeks after the show debut, Up Late With Alec Baldwin, the poorly-rated weekly show has been cancelled, permanently yanked from the airwaves. Alec Baldwin, the 55 year old actor, apparently spewed homophobic insults at a photographer a “c–sucking f**” during a recent altercation. A rep for MSNBC called the firing “a mutual parting” stating, “We wish Alec all the best.”

Baldwin complained while speaking with the Gothamist from Hawaii about his ousting. “You’ve got the fundamentalist wing of gay advocacy – Rich Ferraro and Andrew Sullivan – they’re out there, they’ve got you.”

Rich Ferraro is spokesman for the country’s most well-known LGBT advocacy group GLAAD, and Andrew Sullivan is a popular gay political blogger, author and editor who has been published in Time magazine, The New Republic, the Atlantic and The Daily Beast.

TMZ reports that Alec instantly went into damage control mode after the incident — but it was pathetic — with the actor trotting out a male hairdresser to vouch for his love of gay people. He also was a speaker at a conference and proclaimed his platonic love of several fellas.

MSNBC’s firing of Alec Baldwin comes two weeks after Baldwin flipped out at a cameraman and videographer and allegedly called one of them a gay slur. The network had suspended his show, “Up Late With Alec Baldwin,” for two weeks after the incident, according to Business Insider.

Alec Baldwin contended his use of offensive language. “‘F—–‘ is not the word that came out of my mouth.” A network spokeswoman didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
