It is well known that at this time Law School Applications from prospective students are in the doldrums. This is perfect time for YOU to send in your application to your ideal school; the A-list law school of your dreams.
Refocusing your efforts may get you a second chance at your dream school. According to U.S. News & World Reports, there are three substantial things that can get your foot in the door as a reapplicant to the law school of your dreams.
Overhaul the essay. “Consider adding a few anecdotes that occurred during the year after you applied to exhibit that you have made productive use of your time. This would essentially demonstrate that at this point you really are fully prepared, rather than showing that you cried for two consecutive semesters and gained ten pounds.
“Tell them why you are now awesome.” Adding details of a respectable internship or a new job experience can add polish that didn’t exist before, making your application shine.
“Retake the LSAT.” Mentioning an improved LSAT score can only benefit your overall position and make it stellar.
Finally, a critical reboot in your admissions essay should be the main section where you mention how you vanquished your fears and engaged your passionate desire to be a part of their law community. Good luck (again) to all those reapplying to law school!
