Some twisted people out there celebrate Thanksgiving with wicked agendas. According to The Chicago-Sun Times, an eighteen year old man was accosted by a downtown real estate attorney Stanley Stallworth and his nephew Therrie Miller. Stallworth is fifty years old and Miller is twenty two. They met the victim at a barbershop in south suburban South Holland. They lured him with liquor into “a Bronzeville neighborhood house on the 3300 block of South Calumet,” where they pressured him to drink copious amounts of alcohol. The victim eventually blacked out and woke up in the bathroom sick with a hangover.
Over the course of two days the victim blacked out twice as the duo sexually assaulted him and woke up the next morning naked. The offenders drove the young man home; he told everything to his mother and he went to Franciscan St. Margaret Health Hospital, where a rape kit was performed. Both Stallworth and Miller are being charged with one count each of criminal assault. Stallworth is described as having “strong ties to the community” and is a twenty year partner at Sidley Austin LLP ; he is currently on leave. Miller lives with his mother and is a student at St. Xavier University while working at Harris Bank in Homewood. Judge Israel Desierto is holding both men on $150,000 bail.
