Man from Oklahoma Arrested for Murder of Stepfather after ‘Atomic Wedgie’

Brad Davis, 33, has been arrested in the killing of his stepfather, according to The Oklahoman. The stepfather, Denver Lee St. Clair, 58, was found dead on December 21.

St. Clair was found with his own underwear stretched around his neck and head. His stepson called it an ‘atomic wedgie.’ The arrest came on a murder complaint this past Tuesday. St. Clair was married to Tressia St. Clair, the mother of Davis.

Pottawatomie County deputies and McLoud police officers responded to 4 Shadow Lake around 10:10 PM on December 21. According to Davis, he and his stepfather were fighting and he thought that his stepfather was dead. This is all from the probable cause affidavit.

Davis said that St. Clair asked him to come to the house for drinks. The two got into an argument and Davis claims that his stepfather ‘came at him.’ The two then exchanged blows. Davis told officers he hit the head of his stepfather, which caused him to go unconscious.

Davis told police he decided to pull his stepfather’s underwear over his head to give him an ‘atomic wedgie.’

“I’d never seen this before, but when we first looked at our victim seeing the waistband of his underwear was around his neck,” Pottawatomie County Sheriff Mike Booth said.

St. Clair’s cause of death was deemed blunt force trauma to the head as well as asphyxiation. The death was also ruled a homicide, according to Amy Elliott, the Oklahoma state medical examiner spokeswoman.

The affidavit also notes that Davis sent one of his friends a text message stating he was going to harm Denver while in his presence.
