A video was posted on social media showing the Mayor of Toronto, Rob Ford, rambling on about the city’s police chief on Monday.
The video was taken in a fast food restaurant while the Mayor was there. It showed him talking incoherently about the police chief to customers at a Steak Queen in Rexdale. When the mayor was stopped by reporters on Tuesday, and asked about the video, he said “I was with some friends and what I do with my personal life, and with my personal friends, that’s up to me.”
The Toronto Mayor pledged to refrain from alcohol but said he only had a little bit to drink and also said he didn’t use drugs on Monday. He admitted to smoking crack after a video surfaced of him smoking crack cocaine on a pipe in late 2012.
According to CNN, the Mayor initially denied that he had ever smoked but tin November he admitted to using the drug. The city council voted to take away most of his power. Many have called for the mayor to resign or enter a drug rehab. Ford won’t resign or go to drug treatment and says he will run again for re-election in October. As ridiculous as that sounds, there will always be voters who will vote for the mayor again anyway. For employment in Toronto, click here.
