Adams and Reese LLP has named Ray Ferrera, one of its partners, as the partner in charge of the office in Houston, according to the Houston Business Journal. There are 16 partners in charge at the firm, making it one per each of its offices in the Southern United States and in Washington, D.C.
Ferrera holds first-chair experience at the appellate and trial levels, according to a statement from the law firm. The statement also noted that Ferrera has “achieved significant financial results for clients in patent infringement disputes, and represents major corporate interests in a wide variety of intellectual property, tax, licensing and other business matters.”
Ferrera has been admitted to practice in front of the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the Supreme Court of Texas, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Fifth and Federal Circuits, and the United States Supreme Court.
Ferrera is also licensed to practice law in front of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
There are 33 lawyers based in the Houston region at Adams and Reese, according to research done by the Houston Business Journal.
Ferrera belongs to a whole host of groups, including the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association and International Trademark Association.
